Collision Repair Process
(Under Construction)
This area will provide you with a more detailed explanation of the collision
repair process. Please bear with us as we work to get all sections completed.
Check this page in the future to find detailed information on:
Frame damage:
When your car has been damaged in a collision, it is not
uncommon to have frame damage. This section will explain frame damage.
Not all vehicle have frames today. Examples of vehicles with frames include:
Ford Explorer, Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, Full size cars, Lincoln ect.Full
frame cars have been the main structure for many years. But auto manufactures
needed to meet better fuel ratings, and the unibody cars were born. ( See
our area on unibody misalignment.)
Frame damage is defined as any direct damage to the structure
of the frame. This can be visible to the eye. However, many times the damaged
is hidden. Our estimators have been trained to investigate the type of
collision and make a diagnosis of where the structure will fail. We then
will dissemble the damaged area to gain access to the frame. Each auto
manufacturer sells detailed blue prints and specifications of their vehicles.
We make exact measurements of your vehicle and compare the results to determine
the extent of the damage.
The method to repair damage is:
-
Replacement ( remove the damaged part )
-
Frame correction ( special frame machine to reverse the angle
of impact. This will pull the damaged part into alignment. )

Suspension damage:
When your car has been damaged in a collision, safety is
a major concern when the suspension is damaged. The suspension on your
vehicle is the link to the structure.Front suspension:
Front wheel drive cars have many components that require exact specifications
to ensure safe operation. Each component must be 100% to perform without
problems.
However, many times the damaged is hidden. Our estimators
have been trained to investigate the type of collision and make a diagnosis
of where the part will fail. We then will dissemble the damaged area to
gain access to the parts. Each automobile manufacturer sells detailed blue
prints and specifications of their vehicles. We make exact computerized
measurements of your vehicle and compare the results to determine the extent
of the damage.
If your vehicle has suspension damage, be sure to have
part replaced. Repair to any suspension component is not acceptable.
